In recent news, Australia’s $50 banknote has been released with not one, but two spelling errors. In a circulation of 46 million notes, the word “responsibility” was accidentally spelled “responsibilty” in two spots on the note. Luckily the typos are in the fine print, so most people haven’t noticed the error, and the Central Bank of Australia has announced that the notes will eventually be replaced with corrected ones.
